Dear Junior Golfers and Families,

We hope you are doing well and staying safe during these unprecedented times. For many of you, junior golf is not at the forefront of your mind, but we wanted to reach out to provide a brief update related to COVID-19 and the 2020 Northern Junior Championship.

First and foremost, we remain committed to hosting the Northern Junior Championship on July 27-29 at Great River Golf Club, and we look forward to welcoming top junior golfers to Connecticut for what promises to be our best event yet. Our entire committee is dedicated to making this year’s championship a truly special one for each and every competitor.

However, we also want you to know that we are firmly committed to the health and safety of our players, families, volunteers, and everyone involved with our championship. We continue to monitor the rapidly-changing circumstances and advice from the CDC, WHO and global partners. In the unlikely event that we are forced to cancel the championship and/or qualifiers, all entered contestants will receive a full refund of their entry fee. These decisions will also be made well in advance of the competition dates, as we are acutely aware of the magnitude of impacts related to travel and scheduling arrangements.

We realize that making travel and schedule plans for late July is challenging given the current uncertainty. As such, we are waiving all service charges related to withdrawals for the Championship and Qualifiers, and any player who wishes to withdraw prior to the deadline of June 28th will receive a 100% refund of their entry fee.

Lastly, our host hotel, the Trumbull Marriott Shelton, has a generous 48-hour cancellation policy. Players and their families may cancel any time prior to 48 hours of arrival, and they will not be charged any room fees. Click here for Hotel & Travel Information

We certainly hope to see you in Connecticut this July for the 19th Northern Junior Championship, but most importantly, we wish you, your family, friends and community nothing but the best during these difficult times.

Sincerely,

The Tournament Committee of the Northern Junior Championship
