Andy Mai of Suffield, Conn. shot rounds of 70-69 (-5) to capture the Boys Championship on the first playoff hole. Eliza Breed cruised to a 4-shot victory with a two day total of 150 (+6).
The Northern Junior is sad to report the passing of two-time champion and committee member Ryan Lee, who died on April 26th, 2011.
Eliza Breed of Greenwich, Conn. used an opening round 1-under par 71 to help her cruise to a four shot victory over Kelly Whaley of Farmington, Conn.
The duel between Suffield’s Andy Mai and Burlington’s Alex DiClemente was so good, neither wanted to see it come to an end.
The Stan Trojanowski Northern Junior will offer AJGA exemptions to the 2010 Champions of the Boys and Girls divisions and invites to the International Junior Masters, Bobby Chapman and Joe Cheves Invitational Tournaments.
The 2010 Stan Trojanowski Northern Junior will be played August 9th - 10th, 2010 at Timberlin Golf Club in Berlin, Connecticut. The event will once again be sanctioned by the US Challenge Cup and the Connecticut Section PGA, and will be ranked by Golfweek and National Junior Golf Scoreboard.

The final round of the 8th Stan Trojanowski Northern Junior concluded Thursday afternoon at the Timberlin Golf Club, and it proved to be a wonderful showcase of young talent and youthful determination.
Play got underway this morning at the 8th Stan Trojanowski Northern Junior with an honorary tee shot hit by Mr. Charles Lasher, longtime Assistant Professional at Timberlin Golf Club and over 40 years experience in the PGA of America. After the first round, two players have a dominant lead in their respective divisions.
