Pace of Play Policy
All groups are expected to play in a four (4) hour and thirty-two (32) minute pace. All groups will measured based on their allotted time par and the position of the group in front of them.
If a group falls behind their allotted time par and is more than one hole behind the group in front of them, a warning will be issued.
If the Committee determines a group is falling behind, the group (or a specific player) will normally receive an “official warning” before the Committee begins timing the group or the individual player. However, the Committee may begin timing the group (or a specific player) without providing an official warning when the group has fallen significantly behind or is negatively affecting other groups.
If the group does not meet either of the criteria after the warning, they will be timed. Each player will be timed individually and will have forty (40) seconds to complete their shot. The player who is the first to play a stroke on a hole, the first to play a second stroke on a par-4 or par-5 hole, or the first to play a stroke on or around the putting green will have an additional ten seconds.
The following are the penalties, in sequence, or any player being timed who takes more than the maximum allowable time to make a stroke:
1st bad time exceeding the maximum allowable time – Warning
2nd bad time – One penalty stroke
3rd bad time – Additional two penalty strokes
4th bad time – Disqualification
