The Race to the Northern Junior will consist of events throughout the northeast in order to provide an additional pathway for local players to earn their way into the tournament field. Points will be awarded for top finishers of any of the listed events. Minimum field size of 10 players required.

There is no fee or registration required to participate in the Race to the Northern Junior. Points will be tabulated based on the final results of each event, and at the conclusion of the Race to the Northern Junior (approximately July 9), the top finishers will be contacted via e-mail to accept their spot in the 2026 Northern Junior. Note that only the oldest division of the listed events below are included.

Following the conclusion of the Race to the Northern Junior, the top 5 Boys and top 3 Girls will be extended an invitation to compete in the Northern Junior. If one of the invitees has already accepted a spot in the field or declines the invitation, the next highest point finisher will be invited. Ties will be broken using current JGS Ranking.
